I have a dual boot Ubuntu - Win 7 Enhanced experience 3.0 on lenovo z580 laptop. I have installed Ubuntu on a separate partition. When it failed to boot, I used boot repair to fix GRUB. The below line is the link that i got after I repaired GRUB
After the grub was repaired, I was asked to restart the system and I obliged. while shutting down it displayed a message saying that Ubuntu is running in low-graphics mode and that the input devices, graphics card settings were not recognised. I was not able to do anything, so I just force shut down my system by holding down the power button.
Upon restart, when I chose Ubuntu on the GRUB, it failed to get into the unity interface. rather just a pink screen appeared. I again force shut down my laptop and restarted Ubuntu. this time it worked. after a few times of using Ubuntu, suddenly the unity interface stopped appearing. The default wallpaper of Ubuntu appears and all I can do is open terminal. I cannot see or do anything else.
I reinstalled Ubuntu and the same set of problem repeats. Fist, the low-grahic mode message, then the occasional loading of ubuntu and finally the absence of unity after Ubuntu boots. Please provide me a solution.
PS: My laptop is UEFI enabled.
