I read that Compiz makes applications fade darker if they are not responding. The thing is, I am trying Ubuntu 12.04 LTS from the USB stick before installing it for good and this fading is happening quite frequently. I wonder if this will happen when I install it on my HDD and install additional drivers, updates, etc. Also, the time it takes on the Ubuntu logo while booting is really long. Will those problem disappear if I install it for real?
