I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit on a Medion Laptop via Wubi. It has a Dual core 2ghz Pentium processor and 3 GB of ram. Everything works fine apart from the mouse. For a while, everything works fine but then suddenly the left mouse button suddenly stops working. It's really annoying, especially when everything else works fine, and functions without any problems in Windows 7. Any fixes?
P.S. I intended to install the 32-bit version of Ubuntu, but Wubi did not give me an option and I assumed that it would install the 32 bit by default. The laptop is slightly broken (speakers don't work so I have to use a external one, and the mouse pad suffers the same issues for a while now in both Windows and Ubuntu, and I don't have to wait for it to break, hence why I use a external mouse). The laptop had also suffered from a hard drive failure earlier on. I have used 2 mouses, one a cheapie Tesco branded wireless mouse and the other a Trust wired mouse. Out of the two, the Trust lasts longer but still runs into issues. Both did not say on the packet "Works with Linux", but the Trust claimed "Just plug and go; no need to install a driver".
