Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I installed ubuntu 12.10 with WUBI, dual booting with Windows 8 Release Preview on my Compaq CQ40-338TU notebook.
I have a DSL connection, with TP-Link wireless modem. Ubuntu can detect the connection, it can connect to the modem via wireless, and can use the internet like usual. But it only lasts for a few minutes. After, let's say, about 15 minutes (sometimes shorter), I cannot browse as the browser said there's no internet connection.
I'm using Firefox and Chrome. And when this happens, I am not able to use the internet anywhere on this Ubuntu. Skype, Twitter, everything is dead. To make the internet connection work again, I need to disconnect the wireless connection, and re-connect it. And it'll work again.

I'm also using the internet for another platforms like Windows 7, Windows XP, and Android. The other platform isn't affected with this issue.
