My HP Mini 210 running Xubuntu 12.10 was working well until last night when the battery was at nearly 20 minutes. I put it on suspended mode and charged it overnight. But now, I see this:

So, I shut down the system and started again, but get the same problem. Tried switching to old kernels, using nomodeset and acpi=off parameters, but the problem persists. Sometimes it just keeps looping at the boot screen, displaying "HP", but most of the time I'm stuck at that screen shown above.

What does that mean? And how do I fix it?
