I have a Gateway NV53A laptop. I was having problems accessing the wifi network in my house with my NV53A, sometimes I could log into the network and sometimes not. And if I got in, it would be a matter of minutes before I'd lose the connection. I figured it was the network adapters but because I didnt have the windows 7 recovery disk I was S.O.L. so after reading that with ubuntu I wouldnt need to worry about the drivers... I did a full install of ubuntu from usb flash drive. However, the problem accessing the wifi persists. To access the web, if I am lucky, I have to disconnect and reconnect to the network for every action I want to perform. Example: disconnect-reconnect-open browser-disconnect-connect-google search "milky way"-disconnecr-connect-click link to picture-etc. What can I possibly do?
