Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have a Samsung Q1EX with 2GB memory. When launching from a bootable flash drive, I get "undefined video mode number:314" My highest resolution available is 315:800x600x24. If I select this option, ubuntu boots just fine however once I install it. I get the following as seen below. I don't have "menu.lst" and I've changed my resolution in the "grub.conf" however this did nothing for me. I've also blindly run xrandr to change my resolution manually which noticeably changed how the graphic looked so I'm completely lost.
