I have 12.10 on my laptop and I use my cellphone to go online but when I'm home I want to be able to plug into my other laptop with just a cable. My phone will act as a router if I want and I can file share between the two using my phone as a router but it's only about 3 Mb/s and both laptops have 1 Gb ports and I get 60 - 80 Mb/s using the cable. How can I configure my Linux book to only use one port for internet and the other only for samba/windows network.
