I'm not sure if this is a setting on my end.

I leave my server 12.04 on and after a while the screen shuts off. But I cannot reactivate it or 'wake it up' using the keyboard once this happens. But the server seems to be on.

Last night for example, this happened and I was still able to use SSH from my deskop (12.04) and work on the server.

Is this an Ubuntu thing or could it be something on the BIOS? I need to have the keyboard wokring instantly. Otherwise I cannot shutdown my server. Right now (for example) my ssh is not working so I have to hit the power switch and turn off the server. I know this is bad but I have no other way so far.

I don't know if this matters but the keyboard is USB. Unfortunately the box has no PS2 port

Thanks!
