I am trying to repair my Dell mini. It used to go online just fine, then after a power surge, it quit working. After months of reading and testing, I was able to at least get it to not say in off line mode. Now when I try to connect, it says page load error, address not found. I'm trying to go online using a Wifi connection. Under my connection properties, it says 

Name: lo  Status, Idle
Activity rec'd 10972 packets 725.7 kb sent 10972 packets

under the support tab it says the internet protocol address is 127.0.0.1 and the subnet mask is 255.0.0.0 the network device is local loopback address is all zeros.

Ive been playing with all the settings, so Im sure I messed it up.. Can anyone help me?

It seems you are missing a network interface. Can you open a terminal and enter ifconfig? Please add the output to your question. – qbi Mar 5 at 6:50
