So, I was trying to find a decent desktop session recorder and have tried recordMyDesktop and XvidCap. At first recordMyDesktop seemed really good but I get extremely bad looking videos with strange tearing problems:
I've had good experiences with Xvidcap, so I got that next. I had to compile XvidCap from source (the .deb on SourceForge is broken) and install a few missing dependencies.
After recording one video with XvidCap everything went increasingly slow (input was hardly being recognized at all) and I ended up having to turn off the computer.
Now, every time I turn my computer on I get "Boot error" on the screen. I can't seem to access the GRUB boot select screen but I can continue to boot Ubuntu by pressing enter after it says boot error. How should I fix this problem?
