I recently upgraded from 12.04 (immediately regretted it) The top panel looks like the image:
1- Pidgin is not integrated anymore in the Empathy drop-down (I had even un-installed Empathy in my previous 12.04, it got re-installed when I upgraded apparently)
2- Ubuntu-One has no icon in the top bar even though it's running (the processes are inside the red rectangle)
3- If I remove Empathy the envelope icon goes away and nothing is fixed.
I had previously (in 12.04) had to add Skype as advised here so it would show up in the top panel. Right now, the command
gsettings get com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist returns this:
['JavaEmbeddedFrame', 'Wine', 'Update-notifier', 'clementine', 'Skype', 'Pidgin']'
Any help will be appreciated. Cheers.
