It is the third time I cannot boot this system (Natty with Grub2 in a dual boot macbookpro). I guess it is, again, due to a problem with the recordfail thing and the grubenv file that gets corrupted or who knows what, but it only bothers from time to time.

I can boot from any live-cd iso file saved in the filesystem using its corresponding grub2's menu entry, but I cannot boot the properly installed system. What can I do? Moreover, how can I stop the system preventing me to boot, due to stupid recordfail management?.

Thank you.

Edit_1: If I boot using an external system and try changing something in the system's grub files, how can I do the update-grub of the mounted system from the booted system?

Edit_2: I have tried turning off the execution permissions on the file:

/etc/grub.d/30_os-prober

but still can't boot. There is the file /boot/grub/grubenv and a recordfail line in grub's boot sequence, so I still don't know how to cheat grub2 or what to do to boot my computer.
