I have a problem with my keyboard after upgrade to 12.04 - after turning on the computer it doesn't work at all... I can get through the login panel thanks to the on-screen keyboard but then, already in the system the keyboard doesn't work

when I plug in the external keyboard, the one in the laptop starts to work immediately...

my laptop is Asus Eee PC 900

I will appreciate a lot some help with solving this issue...

Did you upgrade with the external keyboard? Is it possible to re-install 12.04? It might be a lot quicker/less time consuming to just re-install if possible ;) – Rinzwind Jan 20 at 21:08
I upgraded without the external keyboard I would like to avoid the re-installation - I would need to do the settings in the system by myself and I'm not especially good at it - re-installation is the last option without any other possibility – Zyta Jan 20 at 21:50
ok, I reinstalled - got brand new Ubuntu 12.04 LTS in which I still cannot type properly... instead of "o" I have "koi" an so one... any help? – Zyta Jan 28 at 18:11
@Zyta If the situation has changed significantly, please update your question with details. Thanks! – Eliah Kagan Feb 8 at 22:47
