I get feeling, somehow never going to work again. It USED to work fine! Seems like an update killed it awhile ago. I have two windows 7 PC and 1 ubuntu 12.04 PC

I can view tricia-pc ok, When I click on scott-pc I get the error. There is no firewalls

the tricia-pc and scott-pc can view each other shares, only the ubuntu -pc has issue with scott-pc. Ubunt-pc can view tricia-pc shares fine.

So how do I fix, I looked at some responses but the ideas do not work. IS this an UBUNTU problem? Or is it a Windows problem?

solved by rebboting that windows7 PC!!!!! – Scott Jan 20 at 19:12
ran sudo smbtree -d3 which showed protocol negotiation failed: NT_STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES so a reboot fixed – Scott Jan 20 at 19:14
also you can run sudo smbclient -L 192.168.1.106 which gives more info – Scott Jan 20 at 19:15
