Does anyone have any idea why both in Pidgin and Empathy all video chat options would are greyed out?
My webcam is recognised by the Ubuntu and works in Cheese, but no longer works in any chat client.
This was working a while back in this version of Ubuntu, however I haven't used it for a while and tried today. I have been keeping the system up to date so I am unable to precisely say when the webcam stopped working n these clients.
I have installed a Webcam plugin in Pidgin that allows me to select the video input, however this makes no difference, all options still greyed out.
Pidgin Version: Pidgin 2.10.6 (libpurple 2.10.6)
Empathy Version: 3.6.0.3
I am running:
ubuntu 12.10 64bit
Kernel: 3.5.0-22-generic (#34-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jan 8 21:47:00 UTC 2013)
