I have an issue where I cannot connect to my school website. I can connect to every other website on the internet except my school website. I can connect to it at home but when I login to my school network, it times out. I'm assuming it has to do with the DNS address I've been assigned to at school but I don't know how to view the DNS address.

Could it be another issue?

I am able to connect to www.cvtc.edu from home. With DHCP enabled i am not able to connect to www.cvtc.edu from the school network – slayton1213 Jan 18 at 19:04
Most likely you have to use a proxy server from within your school network (if the server is located outside) or you have to use a different name to access it. Please contact the IT staff of your school to get advice. Once you know what has to be done we can help you to actually do it. – guntbert Jan 18 at 20:46
I assume your school website is inside some internal network. So when you in your school you get either an "internal" IP address or an "internal" DNS server. When you connect from the outside you don't have this information and can't access the site. If this is the case you cannot do much about it. One solution would be a VPN to your school. But an admin from your school will have to set it up. – qbi Mar 5 at 6:54
