I have ubuntu 12.04 and kde. I notice that a file transfer on a pen drive USB (2.0 NTFS) in windows with the software ExtremeCopy goes to 30/32 MB/s. Here in ubuntu the transfer on the same pen drive (2.0 NTFS) is at 10/14 MB/s. Obviously I use dolphin as file manager but maybe it's a problem with transfer file manager I don't know. I also downloaded krusader file manager but a file transfer is still done by kde (in the system tray icon) so it's still slow.
How can I solve it? Anything to increase that speed?
I'm copying from hard drive NTFS to the same USB 2.0 pen drive (NTFS-formatted).
my machine has USB 2 and 3 active.
this is the output of "iostat -kxdN 2" during transfer: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1545966/
On windows without extremeocopy it starts from 100Mb/s (wow) and then goes to 27/30 Mb/s (always better the linux) and keeps going with that speed.
