I've tried everything I could think of to the point of having to reinstall Ubuntu and try all over again.

Have you reviewed Ubuntu's How to to be able to modify ATI drivers? When I was reading how to install my ATI workstation I also ran across this discussion about ATI video drivers.

Perhaps you can give a try to the latest 13.1 Catalyst driver, now officially supporting Ubuntu 12.10. http://support.amd.com/fr/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx I tried it today with my 7750 without success, so any feedback appreciated

[Edit] I finally managed to have my 7750 Ati work successfully with Ubuntu 12.10 and the latest 13.1 Catalyst driver

I have Ubuntu 12.10 64-bit and I tried this for several times using different suggestions, but no luck! Can you please list what you have done step by step to get this working? – Sadi Mar 21 at 10:53
