You can see with the following screen-shots that the notifications of the bottom right has glitches out and always shows up blank white. Top right notifications are not affected.
Also something that might be related is certain windows get unframed and or transparent copying whatever the background is when moved around.

ubuntu-bugcrashed when you tried to report the (non-crash) display bug. So now there's 2 (unrelated) bugs! The 1st bug should really be reported againstcompiz(the window manager used by Unity), notunity. If you can, tryubuntu-bug $(pidof compiz)as the display problem occurs (collects the most info). If you can't or it crashes, tryubuntu-bug compiz. If that crashes too, tryapport-cli $(pidof compiz)orapport-cli compiz. If that crashes, report the bug on Launchpad, then runapport-collect Nwhere N is the Launchpad bug number, to try adding info to it. – Eliah Kagan Jan 18 at 3:57ubuntu-bugbug now! The affected package isapport. File the bug on Launchpad. Include all text from the Terminal (it actually documented the crash nicely). Explain in detail which bugreporting commands didn't work. Link to the first bug, in case they turn out related, and to give more info about what triggered the crash. Say you're on 12.10 and give theapportversion. Tag the bugquantal. After submitting, tryapport-collect N(where, as before, N is the LP bug number). – Eliah Kagan Jan 18 at 4:08
