I have a toshiba satellite L750 laptop with a video card "Nvidia geforce GT525m" on.

I would like to "dual-boot" my pc with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (windows is already on).

I saw from an other discussion Is there a driver for a NVIDIA GeForce GT525M? that there might be some suitable drivers for my video card.

Are they suitable for this Ubuntu version? How can i possibly install ubuntu? Do I have to install the drivers first?

I tried to install ubuntu from a cd but it wouldn't work

Thank you for your help Federico

it's no problem to install windows and ubuntu in dual boot and yes there are drivers available for your video card. however could you explain what exactly you mean by "installing from cd wouldn't work"? –  Daniel Jan 17 '13 at 15:26

I made an ext4 partition for ubuntu. I launched the installation program from cd but it crashed and i got to a screen were there was the ubuntu@ubuntu command line. Then I didn't know what to do. If you need more info I can try again the installation –  federico Jan 17 '13 at 17:38
