Ask Ubuntu is a question and answer site for Ubuntu users and developers. It's 100% free, no registration required.

I have just installed Ubuntu onto my MacBook Pro. I stupidly deleted BootCamp during the Installation which means I am unable to boot back into Mac OS, however my main issue is gaining access to my old files, music etc.

It says that I am not the owner. How should I go about retrieving my files? I'd like to thank all in the Ubuntu team for creating such a wonderful operating system and I look forward to any help with my query.

Please add the output of lsblk to your question. – guntbert Jan 16 at 21:01
Sorry, What is an 'lsblk' and where is it found? – Iain Stewart Jan 16 at 22:57
You open a Command Line / Terminal and there you type lsblk. Then you paste the output into your question - it tells us more about the devices in your system. – guntbert Jan 17 at 15:59
