When I try to login via one of the TTY consoles, I can see the post-login stuff popping up for some miliseconds but than the screen clears itself and I'm back at the beginning (username prompt). Also when I switch from the TTYs back to my desktop it just freezes and I have to turn off the PC manually (this might be unrelated though as I am also having troubles with my graphhics card).
The auth log says the following:
