Hi guys I'm new here ( and to linux ).
I wanted to install Ubuntu on my laptop. I tried using 12.10 and 12.04 distros, using the wubi installer (Note that my processor is AMD A8 therefore i used the amd64 version and verified the checksum for both).
After reboot, when it goes to install ubuntu the laptop starts freezing up midway when copying files and usually the laptop shuts down (presumably from overheating) before installation finishes.
Can someone please help?
