The problem is that the first line of Gedit is overlapping with the tab toolbar.

It is happening with every font that I use even the default one.

Is it something to do with my theme (Mac OS X)?

Letters in first line overlap with tab toolbar

Have you tried with other themes? – vasa1 Jan 15 at 16:20
Yes I have tried... Also there is a graphical glich happening where there appears a line over the words that I type .. But they disappear after I click anywhere ... I can't take a pic coz they disappear as soon as I take there picture... Is it something to do with my kernel ?? I am using 3.7.2 – Sudo Jan 16 at 15:24
I think 3.7 is still experimental. And to take the type of screenshot you want, you have to use the "delay" switch. Check the man pages of gnome-screenshot for details. – vasa1 Jan 16 at 16:08
