I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 in which I'm using the KDE4 Plasma environment and I'm not satisfied with the number of programs I can have in the taskbar/task manager before they all get grouped up, it's a pet-peeve of mine I don't like to see Firefox windows get lumped together after opening 3 of them up.

To avoid this I've set up another panel, vertically on the right side of my screen and added another task manager but they both show the same programs in exactly the same manner.

To clarify what I want is at the fourth or fifth instance of the same application which I open instead of them being grouped together, the new icon to appear in the vertical task manager, which would fill up only as the first task manager is reaching it's limits.

Are there any settings which allow me to do this?

Also I'm thinking of switching to the icon only task manager instead of the classic task manager but I still think this is a interesting question so I'm also asking it for the icon only version.
