Open terminal and type

sudo apt-get install broadcom-sta-dkms

Then your broadcom wireless should work (You will need a cable network connection to install)

Note: If your Ubuntu version is 12.04, type

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:poliva/pof
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install broadcom-sta-dkms

OK, so you just need to use commands that I've added. That repo support Ubuntu 11.10 too – Arch user Jan 10 '13 at 13:57
