I recently tried running on install of Ubuntu 12.10 on my laptop. I downloaded the iso and formatted it to a usb with LinuxLive usb creator. Upon booting, I received the copy right (SYSLINUX....) over a black screen and a blinking cursor. I have read about similar situations with other users having the same issue on Acer computers (which is the computer I am attempting to install it on). I am now looking to do an install directly through Windows 7 using Wubi. However, on the installation screen for Wubi the maximum installation size is 30GB. Is it possible to install Ubuntu on the entire disk with Wubi as with usb and cd installation using Wubi? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I don't think this is possible because WUBI relies on Windows to work. – Seth Jan 10 at 0:51
