I am new to Ubuntu and have some questions that I hope can be answered. I have installed Ubuntu 12.04 and am not able to choose booting between Vista and Ubuntu. I use Adobe InDesign CS5 installed on this machine, apparently wine is not an option. Following is a rundown on what happens when I power up.
At 10 seconds, my Gateway screen with BIOS and boot menu comes up. At 17 seconds, my monitor begins to display a floating rectangle with the message “out of frequency range”. At 30 seconds my hard drive spins up, and at 55 seconds I am at my Ubuntu desktop ready to roll.
When I go to my Home folder, the Vista drive is showing under devices, and I can access those files, but don't know how to boot into Vista if I need to. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am very impressed with Ubuntu so far, and will likely be using it as my primary OS, but still will need windows from time to time.
Booting up in less than a minute is amazing to me, wow!
