Mine is a sony vaio Y series one , I installed ubuntu 12.10 recently and the sony vaio keyboard vgp-bkb1 doesn't connect that is pairing fails(while typing a key and a return), yet it is detected by the bluetooth manager. The keyboard worked flawless on ubuntu 11.04.

Well can anybody add how to make this connection permanent during start ups and when the keyboard goes to sleep? And make the guide understandable at each step what is happening?

I could solve this when i tried to manually connect with the set of instructions- wayneandlayne.com/blog/2010/06/14/… The guide worked great maybe it will also work for people who couldn't pair up their device temporarily on the new updated kernel of ubuntu. – slim Jan 9 at 8:16
