I want to map a group of keys in which I want to map Alt and l key to the Left arrow key. I mean when press Alt (both right and left) and l key, my ubuntu will functions like when I press the Left key. How I can do that?

you mean when all three keys are pressed at once? Or just Alt+l where Alt can be any of the two? – Gerhard Burger Jan 9 at 8:02
I mean just press two keys "Alt" + "l" together, and that will have the same affect like I press the "Left" arrow key. Meaning that I will add the alternative for "Left" arrow key. I do so because the "Left" arrow is too far from my hand to reach to. – petwho Jan 9 at 8:37
P/S: I found the instruction for answering my question in the link above (which is this command: xmodmap -e "keycode 46 mod1 = l Left"), but it just doesn't work :D. – petwho Jan 9 at 8:42
There was no link above, see the revision history. Could you add the link maybe? – Gerhard Burger Jan 9 at 9:55
