I am unable to open some website in Ubuntu while those websites are perfectly loading on windows. Websites I am unable to load are :- 1) omgubuntu.co.uk 2) deviantart.com 3) yahooanswers.com

I have already tried changing my DNS to google DNS but still the problem persists. Firefox and Chrome both are unable to load the websites.

I am dual-booting with windows 8. I have a DSL connection. I use PPPoe to connect internet.

what exactly happens when you try to open them, does it throw any error message, if yes, edit your question with error message. – VRU Jan 8 at 5:30
Can you access those sites if you turn off all extensions in your browsers? Sometimes, blocking scripts could have unpredictable results. – vasa1 Jan 8 at 5:42
Also, please look at the column on the right hand side of this same page. You'll see a lot of Related questions. And please edit your question to mention how you connect to the internet with details of your ISP, router/modem and so on. Are you using the same set-up for both operating systems? Is your install Wubi or a proper dual-boot? – vasa1 Jan 8 at 5:46
