I backed up my /Home folder to an external hard drive and now I'm trying to restore it on a fresh install. When I try to restore with Deja Dup, it takes about 15 seconds then says it was successful. But none of my files are anywhere to be found.

So I'm trying it with Duplicity. The help file says to create a file called /tmp/restore. Is it possible just to put the files where they are supposed to be? In my /Home?
