Subj. I'we got nvidia GTS 250 and connecting it to my TV through hdmi, but no sound coming. sudo aplay -L show no nvidia devices and sound settings shows only onboard intel. Propiertaty drivers installed though. None of the FAQ worked so far, so maybe its a bug?
