I am installing Ubuntu 12.10 on a Virtual pc and every time I get an error that there needs to be at least 4.8 GB available drive space. I have 16 GB on the virtual drive and I have tried to set it to be fixed-size or virtual-size and it will not work either way.

Are using Virtual Box or VMware ? Were you using a ISO image to do the installation ? Give us some information about your situation.. – Sudheera Jan 7 at 15:09
