Perhaps for the few enlightened the way in which Glade works is pretty obvious and functional, but I am convinced that for most developers coming out of IDEs where the alignment of objects is make explicit labels, comboboxes and other widgets become aligned between itself is a labor pain.

All the tutorials I've tried (including the site of the Glade) are outdated or have inconsistent information, which makes it even harder to understand how to do things on Glade.

So what would be really necessary to make developing interfaces with Glade not be as daunting for new developers?

Hi open ended discussions (as per the FAQ) are not readily answerable - likely to solicit debates and arguments. This perhaps would be better a fit for Ubuntu Forums. – fossfreedom Jan 3 at 14:02
