In an effort to get my XBMC audio to sync with video over HDMI, I started having the display change to the refresh rate of the video. It seems to be working, however when the display changes the refresh rate, the audio device disappears and reappears in the list of audio outputs.
Because of this, Ubuntu changes the audio output and I have to switch the sound device - however, to switch the sound device, I have to change the window focus which changes the display again, etc.
My question is - how can I set the default sound device to be HDMI, always? Is there a way to remove the other outputs?
Edit: Holy hell. The source video had the delay. Though I still am curious of a way to set a default audio device that would persist.
