Well I'll start with my system specs AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 965 Processor × 4, msi GTX 550 ti, 4gb g. skill ripjaw ram, 500 gb WD caviar blue, MSI 760GM-E51 motherboard, Cooler master extreme 500W PSU.
Ok here's the issiue. I just built this system, closed up the case and attempted to install Ubuntu 12.04. I had to nomodeset because of my graphics card being incompatible. I installed Ubuntu, and gave it full partition. After I clicked restart,
It brought me to a blank screen with a flashing cursor, and did nothing more. I made sure in my BIOS that my Hard Drive was selected as the boot device. I installed two times after and no luck. Might it be an issue with a graphics driver? Also, after about 5-10 seconds of the blank screen, if I press a key, it makes a beeping noise.
