I tried : apt-get install python-lxml but that gives this -
Unable to locate package python-lxml

You may want to look into learning to use pip, which installs packages from the Python Package Index. It's just as easy as apt, and is Python-specific (but not OS specific!). –  voithos Dec 24 '12 at 23:01

Found the issue.
I had to do apt-get update and that resolved it.
