I have a Dell Inspiron n5050. It has a broadcom wireless, and I know that's been the source of problems for people in the past. I've searched around and see that sometimes the solution is to shut off one set of drivers and then install another set. But my situation is a little peculiar because the wireless worked when I first installed. Then it stopped. Then I used the install disk to repair, and it still didn't work. But then I did a total re-install - and it worked again. And then it stopped. Right now I have an ethernet connection - but I didn't buy a lap top to be tethered, you know?
