I have a computer with no operating system and I would like to install Windows 7 on it. I do not have a Windows 7 disc however, nor do I have a large enough USB drive that functions to install the Windows 7 ISO on.
I have Ubuntu 12.04 installed on a USB drive however, and I am curious as to whether I could boot the computer from USB, use Ubuntu to install the Windows 7 ISO to the computer's hard drive, then run it so that the computer will have Windows 7.
Is this even possible? Do files downloaded while using Ubuntu from a USB drive get installed on the computer's internal hard drive? I've ran out of options as to how to install an operating system on this computer, so this is one of the last possible solutions I could think of.
