I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 with Unity, Pidgin 2.10.6.

The problem is that Pidgin icon, though being added to tray whitelist and set to "always shown" in the messenger itself, gets hidden through time. It may happen in a day, or in an hour, or in ten minutes after it's fixed as described below. It is not showing up in system tray, even on incoming events.

To enable it again, I open Pidgin interface settings, set "Show system tray icon property" to "Never", and then back to "Always", and the icon shows itself. However, soon it disappears again, and I have to repeat the procedure. Any ideas on why it can happen?

Thanks in advance.
