I couldn't understand you. When you turn on your computer appears the GRUB and you see.. What? –  Lucio Dec 21 '12 at 4:08
in the GRUB menu i see ubuntu, advanced options for ubuntu, ubuntu 10.10 when i select ubuntu then the system ends with the blank screen, can i switch only to single boot user mode –  Harish Dec 21 '12 at 4:24
So what you want is boot Ubuntu 12.10 without select it from the GRUB (even when it doesn't work correctly)? If so, you can do this procedure. –  Lucio Dec 22 '12 at 19:36
