While trying to boot from a GNU-Linux Mint 12 LiveUSB my computer hangs itself with the following last words:

fb: conflicting fb hw usage nouveaufb vs EFIVGA - removing generic driver

I'm aware that this was a known bug which has since been purportedly fixed in Nadia (the current Mint distro). My problem is that I do not presently have the means to download this version as I'm at a broadband controlled facility. Anyone aware of a CLI workaround I could do at the grub menu?

My system is an ASUS G75 with an Nvidia GTX 670M gpu.
