i have a asus n76v, preloaded with windows 8, i have disabled ufei secure boot but the bios does not have boot from cd. i cannot figure out how to build the path into the bios. I was hoping for a dual boot system because of warranty issues but it is not nessary, my other laptop, and my desktop are both ubuntu only. any help would be great.

I have been using the above mentioned possible duplicate to get as far as i have. i was unable to move forward. with the boot from cd/dvd drive. – Paul Dec 20 '12 at 5:36
so I've tried G:\efi\boot\bootx64.efi which is the path I find in windows from the cd. if any body knows where I am going wrong please advise. – Paul Dec 20 '12 at 19:30
I have it up and running now, just doing the updates. it seems the problem was putting G:\ in the path. – Paul Dec 21 '12 at 1:02
