pppoeconf not working in ubuntu 11.04. butit is woking fine in ubuntu 12.04 which i had instlled in my desktop ! i had set all the connection bt not working in my acer travel2200 latptop?

Are you sure you want to use Ubuntu 11.04. It is not supported anymore. I would prefer to upgrade to 12.04 LTS or 12.10. Anyways, how are you trying to set you Internet connection - through the Network-Manager or the Terminal. – Aditya Dec 19 '12 at 17:37

You should see a Network-Manager Applet in the Panel around the Clock. Click that and go to Edit Connections >> DSL >> Click on Add >> Name you connection >> Give your Username and Password. Your connection should be setup and it should appear when you click the Applet. – Aditya Dec 19 '12 at 17:45
