I just set up Ubuntu 11.10 on an ASUS F55A-SXO47D and have a question about the multi-touch touchpad. It works as such, but is very jumpy and almost impossible to control. So bad as to make it quite unusable. Are there any additional drivers that I can download to improve the performance? Or any tips to calibrate it in the right way?

Any reason for installing version Ubuntu 11.10? Try the latest stable release instead (12.10). Did you install all updates and restart your computer? Did you try to configure the touchpad in the control panel? What Desktop Environment are you using? (Unity, KDE, GNOME, etc.) – gertvdijk Dec 20 '12 at 11:55
