I have a 2010 iMac, that is now out of warranty. I was wondering if there was a way to completely remove the Apple OS and install a clean version of Ubuntu, with no remaining Apple OS (like you can do with Windows machines)?

I was looking for other posts that asked this question and could not find any, I am guessing it is because this is not possible, but I thought no harm in asking.

It is possible but apple have made it tough. What have you tried so far? Why do you want to completely remove OSX? – Magpie Dec 19 '12 at 3:11
