I worked on Windows 8 previosly and I never had problems: my laptop was quiet and battery life was about 5-6 hours without charge.

Then I installed Ubuntu 12.10 and my problems started: now fans are always on and have very strong noise and battery life shortened to 1-1.5 hour!

How can I solve this problem?

you need to install graphics drivers, see here - ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1930450 . You might look for changes in 12.10 version of ATI driver (wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Quantal_Installation_Guide) – Web-E Dec 18 '12 at 9:36
