I have a ThinkPad W520, and I'm on Ubuntu 12.10. While most of the special Fn keys are configured, I'm not able to get Fn+Space to work. Usually, this is the zoom command. Is it possible to catch this keystroke and to assign a command to it?

To clarify, I first tried to map it using the control panel. Then, I tried to get the keycode, but all xev, /lib/udev/keymap -i input/event6, and acpi_listen failed to detect either Fn+space or ThinkVantage button.

Do you have tpb or thinkpad-acpi installed? The thinkwiki has some advice: thinkwiki.org/wiki/… – qbi Dec 18 '12 at 7:32
thinkpad-acpi is included in newer kernels. I shouldn't need tpb for doing this... – Charles Brunet Dec 20 '12 at 5:27
